Free Softwareupdate Version v5.06 for the EndoPilot²

Thanks to new patents, technical innovations, and customer requests, new features are regularly developed and implemented in the EndoPilot². You can easily install these new features yourself via an update using a microSD card. Instructions for installing the update can be found here. This ensures that your EndoPilot remains up to date even after purchase.

With the new update, your EndoPilot² will feature a completely redesigned menu layout. Modern icons and an even more intuitive interface make it easier to use during treatment.

Despite the new design, the familiar user interface remains unchanged, so you’ll still be able to navigate your device right away.

The following new features will be available on your EndoPilot² after the update:

General

• A new, more modern menu design for easier navigation during treatment.
• New question mark icon in the main menu for quick access to relevant FAQ pages via QR code.
• The foot switch icon at the bottom of the screen displays the current status (not connected, connected, in use).

Apex

• A new shortcut key in the Apex menu allows you to switch to the processing menu more quickly.
• The new Apex Slowdown feature automatically reduces speed and torque during full rotation just before reaching the guide line. This enhances safety and makes the approach to the apex even more noticeable during preparation.

Engine

• New special function “Kickdown”: An additional function that can be activated in the service menu using the code “26021.”This allows two customizable motion profiles to be controlled via the foot switch. When operated normally, the file runs, for example, in a rotating standard motion; when the foot switch is fully depressed (“Kickdown”), it switches, for example, to a reciprocating motion. When released, the system automatically returns to the standard motion. For this, we offer to exchange your single foot switch for a new one with the Kickdown function.
  A prerequisite is that the service menu shows Bluetooth version v1.40 or higher.
• In the file sequence menu, you can now view how often each instrument has actually been used. This feature can help you when ordering files and is activated using the code“26011”in the service menu.

Obturation

• A new shortcut key in the Obturation menu allows for a quicker switch to the Ultrasound menu.

Ultrasound

• Favorite ultrasound tools can be selected from the library to create a custom sequence and are then available as a quick-select option in the ultrasound menu.
• Power and pump settings remain saved in the ultrasound menu, even when switching instruments.
• A new shortcut key in the Ultrasound menu allows for faster navigation to the Obturation menu.

Pump

• InitFlush function (new): The pump delivers a brief flush to provide a small amount of fluid, e.g., to precisely fill the root canal.
• If the kickdown function is active (if available; see point 1 in the “Engine” chapter), the pump can be started directly by fully depressing the foot switch.

New File Systems

• The EDMax, Neonit, Zarc, and GenENDO file systems have been integrated and expand your selection of systems.
